Dr. Elson Haas has been in medical practice since he graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1972 and then interned at Highland Hospital in Oakland, CA. Over the past 35 years, he has studied and incorporated many healing disciplines—Western and Eastern Medicines, Nutrition and Detoxification, Herbology, and Mind/Body Healing—into his ongoing practice. Since 1980, Dr. Haas refers to this multidisciplinary blend of care as Integrated, or Integrative, Medicine. Dr. Haas specializes in creating individualized programs for his patients utilizing dietary changes, detoxification, prescription medicines and nutritional and herbal supplements. He writes about these in his many popular books on health and nutrition, beginning first in 1981 with Staying Healthy with the Seasons (updated edition, 2003) followed by Staying Healthy with Nutrition and The Detox Diet. Dr. Haas believes that preventive medicine begins with reaching young people, as early as 4-6 years old. Review his books and CDs developed for children and families on the linked site Seasons Studios. Dr. Haas lectures and teaches nationally and is a regular radio guest and writer for health magazines. Tribute—Michael E. Rosenbaum, MD
Our beloved Dr. Michael Rosenbaum passed away on 3/9/16 from an acute illness. He has been a long-time colleague of ours with his private practice located at Preventive Medical Center of Marin in San Rafael. He was loved by his many patients and many claimed that, “He saved my life and helped me when no one else could help me.” For his 40+ years of practice, he was an innovator with backgrounds in family medicine, psychiatry, biochemistry, immunology, nutrition, and allergy. Personally, Dr. Rosenbaum was one of the smartest people and physicians I have encountered. The good doctor is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Autumn and Crystal Rosenbaum.

will continue. Myrto Ashe, MD, whose medical philosophy is entirely in harmony with
Dr. Rosenbaum’s, is seeing some of his patients. She will continue the treatment of Dr.
Rosenbaum’s patients weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you would like to learn
more about Dr. Ashe, please search by her name on the internet, which contains a wealth
of information about her background and training. Dr. Rosenbaum met Dr. Ashe a year
ago and liked her very much.
We take comfort that Dr. Ashe will care for some of his patients. Also, Elaine Hannah,
